I review a session where the 4.2% rise in US prices rekindled fears about interest rates, while Oracle posted a record quarter but fell after hours. The focal point wasn't cloud growth or the order book, but the cash burn and the considered debt issuance.

US inflation, the CPI release, and Oracle's earnings shape this trading episode. This review covers the Nasdaq's flash crash, extreme market volatility, the subsequent bounce from support levels, and the discipline required for traders when the market accelerates without warning. I also explain why indices often pause before the 8:30 AM ET data release, and I share my analysis method for the Nasdaq, S&P 500, Dow Jones, CAC 40, and DAX.

Yen, carry trade, and global liquidity: in this episode, I connect the Korean tremor, the risk on equity markets, and an old Japanese mechanism. I explain how the yen at around 160 to $1 remains a barometer, why the carry trade finances part of the flows, and how a movement that is too abrupt can strain the entire chain. The anecdote about Mrs Watanabe sheds light on this backdrop: these Japanese retail investors have long influenced the foreign exchange market before becoming a discreet symbol of global finance. I look back at the Nasdaq, this monthly support hit in the middle of the night, and the idea of avoiding last-minute bets. To explain the risks on Nvidia's side, I use the analogy of a restaurant: the demand is there, but the "tables" are missing, just like DRAM and production constraints. In this episode, I explain why the Nasdaq 100 has suffered significantly more than the Dow Jones, with the S&P 500 acting as a referee. The core issue lies in the heavy impact of US interest rates—with the 10-year Treasury yield around 4.13% and the 30-year near 5.13%—and how American bonds weigh on AI stocks, which must borrow constantly to maintain their pace. I also cover WTI crude oil trading above $100, the geopolitical rumors regarding Iran that briefly supported the CAC 40 index, and the current overall environment of severe market volatility: “we are truly on a minefield”. I compare the Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq to spot where the weakness is clearest. Then, I observe the annual low and the immediate reaction at the Asian market open, which is useful for reading a support (the 23,000 zone). I integrate the macroeconomic context: the sensitivity of high-tech to rates, WTI crude oil and the Strait of Hormuz, Donald Trump's statements, and Jerome Powell's "wait and see" message.

Technical analysis of financial markets: I break down this Monday morning starting with a technical bounce, but lacking energy. On Friday, indices closed at yearly lows, then Asia printed a new bottom before a gradual return toward the close. I detail the crucial levels to monitor: CAC 40 testing 7,600 down to the 7,500 zone, DAX, and US indices showing a technical recovery (Dow Jones around 45,000, Nasdaq between 23,300 and 23,350, S&P 500 near 6,360). Meanwhile, Iran-US geopolitics remain tense, and I highlight the anticipation surrounding the US open and Powell's 4:30 PM speech. I also review gold, a fragile Bitcoin under $70,000, and WTI crude oil above $100, which is extremely dangerous to trade right now.

FOMC and Fed: I start with a market update, then the live session takes me elsewhere. Between a ranging session on the Nasdaq, waiting for Jerome Powell's speech, and the oil question, I shift to artificial intelligence, the cost of money, and company financing (borrowing versus dilution). I also discuss Uber and its robotaxi announcement using Nvidia software, along with a very personal sci-fi-style detour. Finally, I return to the indices, gold, and Bitcoin.

Financial markets and market news: in this episode, I review the Iran-Israel war and the surprisingly calm reaction of global indices. Gas is surging (Qatar, supply risks) while oil climbs steadily without panic, around $80, considering the role of the Strait of Hormuz and pipeline bypasses. I compare the pessimism of European indices (CAC 40, DAX 40) with the resilience of US indices (Dow Jones, Nasdaq, S&P 500). Even gold, often seen as a safe haven, rises before dropping back to its 5,100–5,200 zone, and Bitcoin remains in the 65,000–70,000 range. I was tired, I respected my trading rules, so I chose not to battle the market. I then move to the flip side of the session with Amazon, down, and explain why its investment spending and artificial intelligence weigh on investor analysis, using my concrete example of product recommendations. I end with a tour of the record-breaking Dow Jones, fragile Bitcoin, hesitant gold, then DAX and CAC 40.

Market euphoria and index rebounds are the main focus as Benoist Rousseau breaks down the overnight scare followed by a swift Nasdaq recovery towards 26,000. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones mirror this momentum, while European indices like the CAC 40 and DAX 40 approach key levels. The discussion connects this rally to AI stocks and chip leads. In this episode, I compare beginners to moths drawn to the light or a pedal boat heading into a cyclone's eye, whereas professionals secure their capital. Drawing on 30 years of experience, I explain why caution is paramount and why I significantly reduce my positions. I analyze the market mood: the Nasdaq rising before announcements, a correlated S&P 500, a divergent Dow Jones, and a range-bound CAC 40. Background factors include the FedWatch tool's rate expectations, gold surging on uncertainty, and Bitcoin struggling at its monthly pivot. You will hear why I prefer waiting for a clean consolidation rather than acting on ego. We also review the S&P 500 and Dow Jones, look at gold hitting new records, examine Bitcoin under pressure, and cover the earnings season news regarding Intel.
